The Fredericton Food Bank is run almost entirely on volunteering power with a small staff of 4.5.  It takes an enormous community effort to receive and redistribute 15 tons of food each month in addition to clothing and other items donated.  Because of the generosity of our volunteers we are able to keep our operating costs to 28% of our budget using other funds directly to service, purchasing milk, eggs and other necessities to meet family needs.

Board of Directors:

The Board of Directors is the legal authority for the Fredericton Community Services Incorporated.  The Board is comprised of Fredericton Seventh-day Adventist members, and other interested persons as recruited by the nomination committee.  As a member of the Board, a Director acts in a position of trust for the community and is responsible for the effective governance of the organization. Board members are expected to be knowledgeable and to support the corporation in fulfilling its mission and implementing its business plans.

Management:

The management team consists of the Executive Director, a salaried employee and three unpaid officers appointed from the Board, namely the  President, Vice President, and the Secretary/Treasurer.

Our Paid Staff:

The Executive Director, Truck Driver, Food Resource Manager, Program Manager and part time accountant.

Volunteers:

We salute all volunteers who have so willingly offered their time and talents to make the workload fun and effortless. We have a core group of 40 volunteers who help on a regular basis
